Nantwich Town look to build upon Saturday’s 4-1 victory at Rushall Olympic as they host Marine tomorrow evening. The Dabbers put in an excellent performance at Dales Lane, and will look to reignite their great spell of form that fell a week ago at home to Buxton.

Last Time Out
Hard work and determination was the key for Nantwich to overturn a 1-0 deficit against Rushall Olympic on Saturday. After falling behind five minutes in, two quick-fire goals from Joel Stair and Sean Cooke put The Dabbers in the lead with fifteen minutes left in the first half. Kaiman Anderson scored thirty seconds after the interval and from there on it was one-way traffic. Nantwich completely outmuscled Rushall during the second half. Steve Jones topped off a tremendous performance with a cheeky goal with five minutes to go, popping it through the keeper’s legs to secure Dave Cooke’s men the three points.
Sitting in 18th, Marine will arrive at the Weaver Stadium hoping to end their poor run of form that has seen them take just one point from their last four games. They’ve won three games this season, but three wins against playoff chasers Stalybridge, Stourbridge and Workington – so expect them to be fully motivated and determined to walk away with all three points! It does seem that Marine are better on their travels than at home – so it will be a fascinating game!
The Manager – Tommy Lawson
Joining the Mariners in February, Tommy has a wealth of experience as manager, leading Skelmersdale United for a decade, so beloved by his players that he almost caused walk-outs following his departure. He was previously with Prescot Cables.
Our Last Meeting
A hat-trick from Sean Cooke and a first-minute header from Joel Stair was enough for Nantwich to sink the Mariners back in February. Interestingly, Nantwich arrived into this game following a big win away from home at Rushall Olympic – lets hope for a similar turn of events for tomorrow evening’s clash!
