Nantwich Town Football Club are looking forward to hosting two U17 internationals at the Weaver Stadium over the next week, and Dabbers Chairman Tony Davison believes it’s not an opportunity to be missed.
Russia take on Brazil this Friday with a 7pm KO before Brazil then take on USA on Sunday with a 5pm KO and Davison says it’s a privilege to be hosting the fixtures.
He said: “We are delighted to have been chosen to host these prestigious games. It is a real vote of confidence in the club that the FA have selected us to hold the games.
“It is a fantastic opportunity to see the stars of the future from Brazil, USA and Russia here in Nantwich. Some of the players will go on to play at the greatest clubs in world football and we have the chance to see them close up here at the Weaver Stadium. It is a chance not to be missed.
“We have invited all the local schools along to the game. Hopefully it will be a celebration of youth football, played at the highest level.”
Admission is £3 for adults and £1 for U16s, those coming are encouraged to arrive with plenty of time to spare due to large crowds expecting at the ground.
