Nantwich Town’s ‘Walking Football’ group started back last week and the and the popular weekly session is always on the lookout for new players.
Running at the club’s 3G facility on Tuesday evening’s between 5pm-6pm, Walking Football is the perfect way to play the game we all love whilst keeping fit and making friends and is proving and hugely popular with the over 50’s.
Community Development Manager Lyndon Wain took part as a guest in last week’s session and he says it would be good to see some more new faces get involved.
He said: “I’m really pleased Ray has brought his group to the club, this is a permanent slot at the club and the interest so far is growing really quickly. We continue to reach out to the whole community to connect everyone we can.
“I was delighted to take part in what was a really good game, I would like to thank my team mates and opponents for their support in particular when a few of my passes were not quite up to standard!
“We continue to pursue other connections with the local community, this feels another big step for Nantwich Town, I have encouraged a number of our coaching staff and directors to come and join in the fun!
“It would be great to see more new faces at the club each week.”
